HFA Mission Statement
The mission of the Holmdel Football Association (the “HFA”) is to enable the children and young adults of Holmdel to actively participate in football and cheerleading in a safe, structured and positive environment which will enable them to learn fundamental values, skills and knowledge that they will use throughout their lives. To that end, the following are the core objectives of the HFA:
- To encourage and increase participation in football and cheerleading;
- To ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants;
- To instill life-long values of teamwork, fair play, hard work and dedication both on and off the playing field; and
- To encourage our participants to achieve academic excellence.
We, as an organization, are committed to Holmdel’s young people. We expect that each person directly involved in this program, whether as a Board member, a Coach, a Team Mom or a Demonstrator will mentor each of our participants, instructing them on the fundamentals of their sport, offering constructive suggestions where needed and encouraging them to do their best. We also expect that parents, who are critical to the success of this program, will be supportive of both their own children and other children as the organization works to build a successful program that is challenging and fun for all its participants.
Finally, it is our goal that, at the end of this season, all of those involved with this program will feel that they have grown – whether they helped win a championship, mastered some aspect of their sport or made some new friends, that they leave this season with a sense of accomplishment. Success is measured not by wins, but by our organization’s ability to help develop well-rounded young men and women who will be assets to our community and will look back fondly on their experience.
Have a great season!
